footstep_identifier[edit]
Introduced around 1.2.0.12, this extension identifies a sound effect number to play (originally numerically named .SND extension computer files) when the player character takes a footstep. The default sound number is 30. It refers to one of the sounds used by non-player-characters. The high 12 bits of the identifier are reserved for a second sound to differentiate between the heel and toe of Homo-sapien shaped foot. Identifier 0 plays no sound, emulating Sword of Moonlight 2000. Values are limited to base 8192 identifiers.[#]
